Feeling a bit complacent in life and wanna kick it up a notch?

You know you can do so much better… You have the potential! But perhaps not the drive to do so… yet.

I’ve been there… Multiple times. And it is a crappy feeling. You feel like everyday you’re wasting your time. Not being productive etc. You feel like there should be a million things to do but you don’t know where to start so you wind up on the couch binge watching New Girl.

Trust me, I know.

Whether it’s work related, to do with your social life, mental or physical- the answers remain the same.

And today I’m gonna lay those answers out for you. Because lately I’ve seen it work for myself and many others.

Three simple steps on how to ‘Up Your Game Like a BOSS‘… Let’s go!

1.

Have a sense of urgency

Urgency creates action. You’ve probably heard that before, but it’s true, right? Someone gets told they’re going to die if they don’t change a certain habit. So they change it. There’s no other choice.

At University, you work with deadlines. If you’re like 90% of students, you wait until the last minute to actually do the assignment… But you make sure you get it done otherwise you fail. These are examples of urgency. So why not apply them to everything else?

Set deadlines for yourself. Think of the consequences of not taking action.

I was hopeless at this for a long time. I was always better at getting work done if someone else depended on it. If it was only me depending on it, I never took it seriously because I was only letting myself down. But that’s even worse!

Things have changed now. My urgency is paying off a student loan. My urgency is having to give up this life of travel and catching a plane home to a 9-5 job. No thanks! The thought of that kicks my ass into gear.

How would your life be if you weren’t to take action?

How would your life be if you did take action?

Which one has the best outcome? I’m guessing it’s the latter…

What’s your urgency?

2

Surround yourself with the right people

How does the saying go?

“You are the average of the 5 people you spend most your time with” – Jim Rohn

If you want to up your game, you’ll want to surround yourself with people working at the level you want to be at.

Who are the people you surround yourself with now? What are they doing with their life? What are their attitudes? What are their goals?

If you feel like your friends might be the ones holding you back then detach yourself a little and find the people that will uplift you. Facebook is perfect for this- there are many groups dedicated to mind set and success that you can join.

Recently I joined the Female Entrepreneur Association Member’s Club and my game has never been stronger. Just by surrounding myself with like-minded, positive, and successful people, I have become much more productive and motivated with my work.

Track It

Have visuals on what you want to achieve. Write it or type it and put it somewhere you will see daily.

What are your ultimate goals for the week, the month, 3 months, 6 months, a year!? What’s your daily intention? What steps must you take to achieve it? When you find yourself moving off track go back to where you have it written down and it will remind you of your focus.

I must say this one has helped a lot the past week… which is why I created a printable for you to use and help keep you on track. Print it out and fill it out daily… ENJOY!
