September is always a bit of a scary month… It seems to fly by so quickly and it’s at this point that I think, “Holy shit this year is going by waaaay too fast!”

September, you get me every damn time…

This month has been quite the chill month for me.

No major travels.

No major life changes.

Just laying low and getting some work done!

Here’s my month split into travels, wedding planning, and health!

TRAVELS

My month was kinda split into two parts:

First half: Australia

Second half: New Zealand

AUSTRALIA:

We actually got to Australia mid August where we planned to spend two months on the Sunshine Coast with a little trip to Melbourne splashed in their somewhere, as well as a 10k running event when we first arrived (died).

We have a fab apartment on Maroochydore beach with a sunny rooftop, ocean views, and a coffee machine (yaaaasss). This place is definitely my home away from home. Every time we’ve come to Maroochydore this year we have rented this apartment.

The locals here are always so friendly and welcoming. It’s quite the chilled lifestyle where there’s always a lot of people outdoors, on the beach, and exercising. Not to mention the weather is AMAZING this time of year!

My highlight is that it’s currently whale season! There’s humpback whales that migrate along the coast of Australia every year around this time. So multiple times a day I take the binoculars to our roof top with a cup of coffee and watch the whales go by… Having a whale of a time here I tell ya!

NEW ZEALAND:

On the 17th I took a trip home to NZ for two weeks. It was one of my gal’s hen’s do (yeeyaaa)!

There was a bare butler, a pure romance (sex toy) party, and we did an awesome pole dance/burlesque class, followed by BYO dinner and hittin’ the bars.

Let me tell you…. Pole dance classes are a riot! So much fun! And my muscles were exceptionally sore the next day; no wonder why pole dancers are so toned! (New hobby??)

It was a good two weeks back in NZ; made busy with catching up with friends and family. It was my first time back since April so I needed a good dose of home.

Oct 1st, I jumped back on a plane and made my way back to Australia…. Right as Nate made his way to Pakistan for two weeks 🙁 Boy bye!

WEDDING PLANNING

In March this year we finally decided on a date for the wedding…. To be in Feb 2020! And honestly since we booked in that date and the venue, we haven’t planned anything else at all! Over the last few months we’ve been engrossed in launching Wired Creatives, we haven’t really had a chance to think about it!

But while in NZ, I caught up with our fabulous wedding planner, Alina from Wild & Whim to get some more plans in motion. AND I finally sent out some Save the Dates… Progress!

I’m thinking my next post might be a wedding planning post and sharing my experience so far… The good and the bad haha.

HEALTH & EATING KETO

Slightly stoked, not gonna lie… Finally reached my first body fat percentage goal of 25%…. When I came back from Europe in January, your girl was at 31%. Which for a shawty like me, isn’t too great 🙁

But I have been able to drop that to 25% (and dropped 6kg) while traveling! Which i’m stoked at!

In March this year I decided to try a high fat, very low carb way of eating. Simply because I was always feeling tired and bloated. So I went to a nutritionist who put me on to this ketogenic way of eating.

Legit, the first few days I noticed a huge difference in my energy levels and my bloating. Plus its a style of eating that really suits me. I love meat, I love cheese, I love avocados, I love my green veges… So really I feel like I’m not having to sacrifice anything. Plus low carb beer can be found in most places… They have it on tap here at my local in Australia 😉

Within a week my carb and sugar cravings were gone and I just felt so much better.

So I’ve stuck with it while traveling (except 2 weeks in Europe in June I went crazy on gelato, bread, and pasta haha). And came back to do a weigh in and was pleasantly surprised at the 5% fat loss!

My next goal is to get to 20% body fat and tone up more… So it’s great the wedding is in 2020 haha. No extreme time pressure there…

Well that’s about it! I shall wrap it up there!

Thanks for reading a long 🙂

I have linked all my outfits below as I often get asked what I’m wearing etc.
