Book: The Silent Patient
Author: Alex Michaelides

I’m not one to say no to a psychological thriller, so I jumped at the chance to give this one a read.

The Silent Patient solves the mystery of why Alicia Berenson murdered her husband, Gabriel. Alicia was arrested and committed to a mental institution and never spoke a single word since the brutal murder.

Theo Faber, a forensic psychotherapist is determined to find out the true story and believes he is the only one who can get Alicia to speak again and share what actually happened that night.

The book follows two timelines: before the murder and the present; all while unraveling a series of events that led to Gabriel’s murder and to Alicia finally speaking her truth.

Overall, The Silent Patient is an easy read, while still keeping you hooked! You think you have it all figured out, but then another twist in the plot takes you by surprise!

If you’re looking out for a new book, definitely pick this one up.
